anybody ever read the handbook for just about every company in america, in severe weather events the stipulations say "act of god", tell them the reason why god acted and they cry like little babies!
In addition, Joyce, have you wondered what ever happened to the "get out of Iraq" "peace" crowd? We still have the same number of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and they are silent now that Obama is in. Apparently they hated Bush and love Obama more than they care about "peace."
There's a guy in our apartment complex has a sticker that says "Peace is Patriotic" ... first time I saw it, and every time since I silently ask the guy, "Was peace patriotic when our founding fathers were fighting for independence from Britain?" Was peace patriotic when brother fought against brother to hold the republic together in the War Between the States? Was peace patriotic when Hitler was killing millions of developmentally delayed, handicapped and those races he called "inferior" such as Jews and Blacks? Right. Peace is patriotic ... but laying down your life so others can keep living in peace is even more so!

Is it just me or are these co-exist stickers everywhere now, seen about 7 cars in one hour. I want to see these people drive around in Iran or saudi arabia, or any muslim country for a week, come back and tell me what it means? do they not know they could easily be murdered for that? How comfortable they feel now! apparently they have not considered they wouldn't even have that bumper sticker if certain christian believers would not have paved the way for them for this country!
Joyce, I have seen that bumper sticker too and I think what they mean is that the Bible is a "living document" much like liberals believe of the Constitution. They think it is "living" in the sense that it is ever evolving depending on the changing opinion of its interpretation. To them, God can speak to them and it doesn't matter if the voice they heard contradicts Scripture or not.
Saw a bumper sticker this morning that says a lot but sent my brain spinning off into strange pathways. The bumpter sticker I saw said, "God is still speaking" and below that was the name of a mainline church that is infamous for its liberal stance on homosexuality, abortion and other difficult issues. As I walked past I thought to myself, "God IS still speaking" but according to your teachings he must mumble or lisp. We can't really understand what He's saying and so (like many deaf people) we pretend we heard what was said and muddle along, trusting that we get it mostly right and that God's MERCY will cover the rest." If YOU see an interesting one or would like to have one created that says something special why not tell us about it? Personally, I'd like one that says, "ABORTION: The ultimate abuse of a woman and a child."
