Here are some more questions / scenarios that have arisen from comments that have been posted on this forum.

Since when is asking God for healing a sick person not good for the sick person?

And if God is using a sickness or disease as some sort of lesson (still waiting for an answer as to where this teaching is in the B I B L E ), how are people supposed to know when they can ask in prayer, believing for healing?

As an earthly parent, (if any of you have children), when did you tell your child (ren) something like this: "NO, you are just going to have to go through this sickness ( the flu, pneumonia, or even just the common cold) because I'm teaching you a lesson! So, don't ask for anything from me (the parent) that will make you well, and NO you cannot go to the doctor because he will just remove you from the lesson that you need to learn."

Another issue that has been brought about repeatedly on this site is this, that God is sovereign and in complete control.

If that is the truth, why did GOD give humans the ability to make choices?

And, if God is in complete control, why did Adam and Eve cause the fall? Why were Adam and Eve given the opportunity to exercise choice? To be in "CONTROL" of someone or something there is no opportunity for choice is there?

There is a story in the book of Luke that people always use to illustrate the LOVE OF GOD for His children. That is the story of the prodigal son. If God is in control and sovereign, and the father in the story of the prodigal son is to be indicative of God, the Heavenly Father, why didn't the Father tell the younger son, "NO, you are not getting your inheritance, I AM sovereign and in control of everything in your life so just live with it like it is."

Then there is the other son in the same story, the Father told the older son that everything that the Father has was his, yet, the older son was complaining that he had not done (or chosen) to do the things the younger son did, and he didn't get the "rewards" for staying and working etc. If the Father was in control, why didn't He treat the older son better?

Then in Colossians, the writer gives instruction to what are presumably believers, "you are to put off anger, wrath, malice, filthy communication from your mouth, and then you are to put on... sounds like more choices. If God is in control, why would we believers be given choices such as this?

Still waiting for some answers to these questions.

Also, if God is sovereign, and in complete control, would it be presumptuous to say that the "church, which is supposed to be the body of Christ" is in a mess.

and if the above statement can be agreed with, why then would any one want to become a Christian?

There are no particular views that should be gleaned from this posting. IE: JW, LDS, WoFer, or whatever else someone may label, think because of past experiences, or judge something to be. These are questions that have merit, as the one post states, after being born again, it is time to "GROW".

What do the following Scriptures mean? (there were alot of the Scripture references left off for sake of space. But, the main points are presented, each of the passages were also read in 5 or 6 different versions which can be accessed at" www.biblegateway.com)

King James Version (KJV)

Galatians 3:6-10, 13, 14, 26, 29

 

6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.


Question: what curse did Jesus redeem us (believer's) from?

King James Version (KJV)

Deuteronomy 28:1, 2, 14, 15, 16, 61

  

 1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

 
Question: are these the blessings and cursings that the writer of Galatians is referring to? 

Here is another one that brings questions:
Joshua 1:8King James Version (KJV)

8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

What is this verse supposed to mean for believer's? What should be done if we as believer's are being "taught something by God, who knows what we need and what is good for us, such as being sick, asking God for healing and not getting healed, is this what it means to be prosperous and having good success?
