Contrary to what some (most) preachers are teachng......our duty is to share (explain) the Salvation message to the lost.  One cannot explain the salvation message and make it true and whole unless the whole of the Gospel message is shared and explained.

  • Explain that all are lost and are sinners regardless of how "good" a life they might be living.
  • Explain that one must "repent" of their sins regardless of how small they may seem to them and by repenting, they must turn from the "old" lifestyle and make a commitment to the Lord to follow HIM and leave the old behind.
  • Explain that one must truly desire for this change to take place for a lifetime not just for a while to get through the tough time they may be experiencing and to follow Jesus and His teachings.
After this commitment has been made, then the process begins of teaching the new believer all the different attributes of the Lord.  His love, patience, guidance, grace, forgiveness, etc.

Far too many now teach that a simple prayer can be made with NO UNDERSTANDING of what it truly means and the "new believer" is set for life.  No repentance, no asking for forgiveness, no commitment, no true desire for a lifetime with the Lord needed.

This to me is a perfect example of a "false gospel".

God is love, but there is much MORE to it.

I've seen a lot of posts proclaiming that our Lord wants us to "love" one another and, therefore, we shouldn't be negative when we talk to people.
What do YOU think?
Is love this "nicey-nice, feel-good" kind of love where "we're all God's children" or is it more, "I love you and so I'm going to tell you that you need to straighten up and fly right or you're going to hell."?
Com'on!  I would really like to see some names other than my own and a few others appear on this board.  I know yer out there (lol).
Weigh in ... let's here YOUR opinion.
