SecondSon~~ I'm a firm believer in the idea that NO ONE should EVER put God in a box. NO ONE should EVER measure another's description of their salvation experience against the cliches and traditions they learned as a child. As long as you have admitted your need of Him and confess Him to be your LORD and SAVIOR I have no doubt that your experiences were real. God is an all-powerful God Who does everything He does just because HE wills it to be so and I want to welcome YOU to the family of God.

"I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to His holy people." Jude 3 Joyce
The experience I had to become a Christian was a overnight experience and I laid in bed and admitted to the Lord I did not want to be in control of my life anymore, that I wanted to give control of my life to him. I said I don't know how to pray but I believe you lived, was crucified and rose from the grave on the 3rd day and that you died for my sins. The next day I was a new creation and all the guilt and shame and self pity in my life was gone just like that but it took 3 years for the Spirit of the lord to step into my body and as such it is no longer me that lives but he that lives in me. My story is true and I only answer to the Spirit so if you believe me or not is really not important, what is important is the spirit that dwells in you. You must have faith and remember listen to no man. You must walk by faith only and use your spiritual eyes. GOD'S purpose for your life is make it to the place he intended you to be at the end of your life. In Jeremiah he tells us I knew you before I formed you in yours Mothers womb which means before you were born GOD had a expected end for you and your job is to reach that end but you must remember GOD will never force you as you must want to on your own free will.
