Randy~~ I looked at the Ray Stedman site and from what I've seen sofar he seems to be an acceptable teacher. However, I have some reservations since he was mentored by J. Vernon McGee whom I personally heard say, "The day of miracles is past." He then went on to say that God no longer performs miracles or heals. He believed that because of the Scripture that says, "Where there is knowledge, it shall pass away ..." (I Cor. 13:10) ... he then misinterpreted that Scripture to mean that when the Bible was completed, all "special gifts" would be done away with. I believe in miracles. I've been the recipient of miracles. I've had healings and deliverances. So, while Stedman's exegesis may be acceptable in many areas, in the area of miracles, etc. you need to "guard your heart" as you discover what he believes.
