If this is your stance on anointing, what is your understanding of "binding and loosing"? I'd like to hear from JAK and CC on this, I am intrigued.

DjBilical- right on!!! Couldn't have said it better.

It seems those who are stuck on pointing out faults of others and coming down on people, forget, the battle is of the spirit, not the flesh, many times don't even recognize God's Promises nor blessings to us in this physical life.

You know, its not that those Ministers are wrong in preaching God wants to Proper us, cripes sake, look at the Jews before God lead them out of Egypt, how God Prospered themto have Pharoh give them so much in riches of all kinds, livestock, food, materials, gold and more.

Then Abraham. Look at Joseph, who ended up in Egypt and how God prospered him, not just with riches, but position and power. Then Daniel and Shadrack, Meshack and Abednigo. David, plus so many others.

Before putting down "so called" movements that you claim are not of God, re-read God's Word and realize, these Blessings such as Prosperity and Faith, were both taught by God in His Word. Remember, God declares, Faith without works is alive, but works without Faith is dead.

Faith is essential, if read about the Charactors both of us mentioned, for how God prospered them. This includes people like Job as well, where God allowed Satan to take all he had and afflict his body too in the end. But, by Job's Faith, did God deliver Job from that and restore everything at greater portions, including his health.

And it could be people, that just maybe, those who preach so strongly about those Promises and Blessings of God, recieved such because of thier Faith and belief in God concernig such things.

And before anyone goes off on the "seed of faith" aspect, read the scriptures about God teaching us thru out His Word of Blessings for giving that which is due to God and that which is due to earthly Leaders.

Alot of people claim the "Tithe" is not for the "Church age". Bologne. Look at God's Word of God and christ speaking of the "Gift" of God, christ says if bring a Gift to the altar and remember you have ought with a brother.....etc. What is now brought to God in place of animals for sacrifice?

How did Paul speak to the Churches about his gathering financial help from the Church he was at, to save the next one for having to cover his expenses.

Those of the "Body of Christ" coming down on these Ministers and Ministries, who've been Blessed in those areas clearly covered and accepted by God, need to back off and stop maligning them, before bringing God's equal judgement down on them for judgement they've built against others, unless clear proof of unjust actions can be proven, thru first hand documentations.

What was said about God's "Annointing" being refreshed is true. Its not God who gets stale, but people. They can really be alive and active with the annointing for so long, but after enough time, the person needs a refreshing and strengthening of that annointing to go on as did before.

Maybe we should get away from choosing only specific Scriptures or topics to pick apart, and start looking at all related scriptures to ensure our mouths don't speak against God unintentionally from here on.

This was ridiculous for an exchange, knowing these topics were clearly covered in God's Word and should never have been brought up, if we are doing as God commands us to, in reading and learning His Word to show ourselves approved in rightly dividing Truth. The answers were already there, if just had been read and checked out as should've been.

You see.....I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt and all you did again was to demean me. That message was Jesse's msg on the "Anointing to be Blessed Financially." My point was that there are many anointing.

Let's look at the word anointing, as you should know by now that I am not a man of OPINION as you and many of your followers are, but I am a man of FACTS and Manifestation.

ANOINTING:
Webster says: " to smear or rub with oil or an oily substance or
to apply oil to as a sacred rite especially for consecration b: to choose by or as if by divine election; also : to designate as if by a ritual anointment

Strong's says: fat, oil

a) fat, fatness

b) oil, olive oil

So what is this dialog all about? Spritually or physically the anointing is still the same. It is the FATNESS of GOD'S power. The OIL is just the physicaly the manifestation, the Spiritual is the Manifestation of the experience from why the oil was applied.

When SOJOURNER's Pastor said, "FRESH anointing" he was offended, not knowing that God's anointing is fresh and new just like everything else.

Psalm 92:10 "But my horn shalt thou exalt like [the horn of] an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. "

It's just like God to say, every mor"Fresh Manna" "New mercies every morning"

No GOD does NOT get stale...because he's always making everythng FRESH in the EARTH REALM!

Just like FINANCES....Yes...B-Wise...God wants you to have both...RICHES ON earth and riches in HEAVEN...WHY? Because when you come back to Earth..with JESUS to set up His Kingdom..What will you have to show for it?

You think God is going to just GIVE you a parcel of LAND you NEVER had?
Why, because you never TOOK HOLD of it...by limiting God's blessing to His children. If PSALM 115:16 Says, "...but the earth has he GIVEN to the children of MEN!"

Uhhh what is in the earth??? Gold, Silver, and Land!...God GAVE this to us..
and you are going to tell God, NAH...that's ok God, I'll wait till I get to heaven
to collect. Tha's like you blessing your son with a house and he says, "Nah
dad, I'll just keep this efficiency and pay the landlord $600 a month...but THANKS tho."

B-Wise....B-wise, C'mon, your tug-of-war is not with me..it's with God and his
principles...you REFUSE to accept His ways are HIGHER than yours and others...and THAT'S WHY the Christian Church is so 1900's (cliche')..it's not about having riches just to have them..it's BECAUSE THIS IS GOD'S Inheritance...from ABRAHAM to us....otherwise he would have told Abraham (The FRIEND of GOD...God called him, HIS friend), "Uhhh, Abraham, I just want you to be a father of a multitude, but I'm God, waiting for you to come to heaven, so don't be rich.." He wouldn't have given SOLOMAN (THE RICHEST to THIS very day) all those riches (until he messed with those wicked women) along with WISDOM, and LONG LIFE...

B-wise you what U are saying to God is, "Uhhh, that's ok...I'll just take 2 of the 3"...that is FALSE HUMILITY which is rooted in PRIDE...STUCK in your ways...refusing change, and at this point...self-righteous thinking that God is ALRIGHT WITH the way you are..when the WORD says different...

See B-Wise...with riches you can ALWAYS DO MORE...but God can't lead you to do more cause you only have A LITTLE...

Why be content in your OWN SELF-RIGHTEOUS way to think that God hasn't led you to do more..when JESUS says, even today..."...The Harvest is ripe and plenteous, but the LABORERS are FEW." Why not want MORE to DO MORE..so we can FINISH what HE LEFT US TO DO..than FIGHT me...over and over and over...and point the finger at ministers who YOU CLAIM are LIVING ABOVE THEIR MEANS>.but are DOING MORE than you are doing now..while you state...THEY COULD DO MORE if they didn't WASTE what they had on themselves????

That way, IF they are MIS USING the MONEY they "claim" to have recieved from God...GOD sees YOU his FAITHFUL SERVANT, who will DO THE MONEY RIGHT, so he will TAKE FROM THEM (the UNFAITHFUL SERVANT...the talents remember) and GIVE TO YOU with the 5 talents? TO FEED more people, clothe more people, house more people, build more buildings for the needy..homeless, and destitute..etc and etc...

C'mon B-Wise...just admit...It's GOD..and workable...

Personally...I LIKE your STAND and STANDARD of HOW TO DO GOD'S WORK RIGHT....

The ETHIC is great..but your ways of doing it is not W---I---S---E....

I read the post by Biblical (?) and went to the link and it was a video of a Jesse Duplantis show where he does his normal preaching on how we are to be rich because Jesus wants us to be rich. Nothing new here except that this shows me how and what Biblical (?) thinks and wishes for. As for me...my riches are awaiting me in Heaven. Jesse and his followers can have their riches here on earth but what a sad future they have in store when the curtain comes down for the last scene. cry

Here is my synopsis of my study on anointing.

Anointing
What is it?

2 Corinthians 1:21 and 1 John 2:27 tell me to whom the anointing is given and where it comes from anything else is in error. "Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God," "But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him." It can be no clearer than this. When the Holy Spirit called me to repentance and opened my eyes to see, understand the price required for my living in sin and who it was that paid that price, Yeshua, he, the Holy Spirit anointed me with his indwelling upon my acceptance and belief in Yeshuas death and resurrection.

There is no such a thing as a fresh anointing which would be to say the anointing of God has grown stale or of no effect and has weakened. It will never be so. There is no such a thing as feeling the anointing as in entering a room or coming upon someone to give a word or heal the sick. The anointing and the Holy Spirit of God residing within every believer is given to us at our redemption.

The anointing having different levels or this one or that one having a greater anointing is also not scriptural. Obtaining a double portion or double anointing is not possible. At this there will be someone who says, Elisha asked for and received a double anointing. Not true. Read it. 2 Kings 2:9 "And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you? Elisha said, Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me." Elisha asked for a double portion. Now some will say it is the same thing. Not so, in proper context the first born son was to receive a double portion of his fathers property. Elijah had no children and no property except his mantle, thus Elisha was asking for the first born sons double portion rights pertaining to inheritance as if he were Elijahs first born son. "Double portion of your spirit:" as the first-born son inherited a double portion of his father's property so Elisha asks to inherit from Elijah his spirit of prophecy in the degree befitting his principal disciple, Elisha. Elisha being Elijahs' disciple knew his masters mantle would be his inheritance, which is what he desired. He desired to step into Elijahs' place becoming God's prophet. Deut 21:15-17 "If a man has two wives, the one loved and the other unloved, and both the loved and the unloved have borne him sons, if the firstborn son belongs to the unloved, then it shall be in the day he wills what he has to his sons, he cannot make the son of the loved the firstborn before the son of the unloved, who is the firstborn. But he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the unloved, by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the beginning of his strength; to him belongs the right of the firstborn." How clear can this be? The anointing abides in believers. This means the anointing inhabits believers. To inhabit is to reside. To reside is to live in. This being the truth: that this anointing lives within believers, persuades me to believe and trust the anointing is not something resembling an attribute of my Lord, but is in fact he himself in the person of the Holy Spirit. No attribute is alive but he who abides within me is alive.

Have you guys ever studied what God's Word actually teaches concerning our anointing? I am just about finished studing it compared to what some "great" men of god(yep i did the small g cause they don't preach the gospel of my God) teach. My curiosity was peaked a few weeks back when my own pastor made this comment during a sermon: "I believe 2008 will bring a fresh anointing to many..." Fresh!!?? Does Yeshua get stale? Does Yeshua weaken over time? These were my thoughts when I heard him say this. The time has come for me to move on. I found an article on "The Anointing" on another site which was pretty in depth. God is opening my eyes to so many areas where believers are being led astray.

What was the first thing Yeshua said to his disciples when they asked what the sign of his coming would be? Matthew 24:4 & 5 "And Jesus answered and said to them: Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and will deceive many." How many today claim to have some type of special "anointing"? The blind are truely being led by the blind. Praise be to God for calling me out of blindness!
