You guys have been quite helpful.  I thank you so very much.
I am still concerned with their mental state when I present them with what I have learned about their teachings.  Many people have been brainwashed and cannot see the ugliness that lies behind the masks of these "men of faith".  I speak from first hand experience as we came out of the Mormon cult.  It is hard when you find out that everything you have been taught is dangerously wrong.  You can't reconcile it in your mind for a long time.  After you have been exposed to the knowledge that everything you have ever believed is seriously flawed, and it has been your lifestyle and an intricate part of everyday living, it's like living in a fog.  Nothing looks real anymore.  Nothing seems real anymore.  You wonder how to function.  At first you cannot believe it, you think the people that are telling you the truth are lying and trying to send you to hell.  Then you grieve because it's too painful to realize that everything that defined you as a person is a lie.  Then you are angry, angry that you have been taken.   Then you wonder why God would allow this.  It goes on and on.  Finally you get to a place to where you have come to terms with it, and have made peace with yourself and God.  Others have turned away from God altogether.  Cog Dis is a horrible place to live.
So, who do these precious souls look to?  I know Jesus first and foremost.  But to learn the right message, and not be duped into the glitter and empty promises.  And to pray for the "men of God" that have led many to distruction to change their ways after they have come to grips with the truth.

Kay Aurthur with Precept Ministries is another good one. Bob, have you no suggestions for good TV ministries for blind shut-ins?

Buffi,
If you have friends who need a Bible, please send us their mailing address and we will send them one free of charge.

I would also suggest in the situation you have presented that you get them a Bible on tape or CD.

I would personally recommend the 700 Club as a source for good, solid biblical teaching. I don't watch a whole lot of television preaching, so I don't really know all of who is on these days. Charles Stanley is also good in my opinion if he is still on.

I have been reading alot on who is wrong.  Hinn, Copeland, Dollar, Roberts and the lot.  Who is doing it right?  Who has "the clue"?  If someone asked me where to steer them, what direction do I point them?  Some people are shut ins and all they have is the TV to help them to worship.  What about those precious souls?  What can I tell my Mom, or my disabled Uncle?  How can I help the people through the cognitive dissonance that is surely going to occur with them as they find out their beloved leaders of the church are horribly mistaken?
I know I must tell them to diligently study their bibles.  I know I must tell them to pray for discernment.  But to those that don't have the eyesight to read their bibles and to the ones that have attention deficit, what can I do?
So, who?  Thank you for reading.  God bless you all.
