Thank you so much for the information. I believe you are correct and as assurance we will look into the WCG to see what their current beliefs are.

A preacher in those days, when he felt God called him to preach, didn't hunt up a college or seminary, he hunted up a good horse, took off across the country and began crying "Behold the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sins of the world"!
I'm glad to see your cult list and the mention of Armstongism on that list. However I think it's important to note that the Worldwide Church of God no longer subscribes to Armstrongism at all. In fact, the WCG is now a recognized Evangelical Church since God worked a mighty miracle within the organization. I believe it is the only time in history that a whole denomination has turned from cult to church within less than five - ten years. It was shortly after the death of the church's founder, Herbert W. Armstrong, that the leaders of the organization began to pray and search the scriptures... at first, each one alone but then as a group. After a time, they came to the conclusion that everything they had been taught had been a lie. They decided to announce what they had learned at an upcoming WCG conference. They also decided to remain a church and keep the WCG name. This was done to offer testimony to the power of God to redeem the deceived and to maintain some sort of rapport with those who were still living in deception. At the announcement of what had happened, 2/3 of the church membership walked out to form their own denominations that still teach Armstrongism ... but 1/3 remained with the WCG and came to the Truth ... you can find out more about this miraculous conversion by visiting the new CHRISTIAN Worldwide Church of God website.
