What books in the bible?

Although this is not a complete book, this passage may help understand even more the kind of Love that God has, that He gave when He sent Jesus, and what He gives to His children.

1 Corinthians 13 (AMPLIFIED BIBLE)

4Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

5It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

6It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

7Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

8Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end].

The PSALMS are good.  One or two chapters at a time, they illustrate "praise", among other illustrations for life. Also in PSALM 51, an illustration of David's prayer after he committed sin with Bathsheba. This is his prayer to God, asking forgiveness.

I would like to hear peoples ideas on this, what books would you reccommend to an unbeliever, I usually say proverbs, isaiah and john a few chapters of each, proverbs for them to understand how evil they are, isaiah for prophecy to help build faith and of course john easy to understand.  Proverbs for this reason, I remember first few months of reading bible, the verse that jumped out at me was "lying lips hate those who they afflict" I said to myself, that means every lie I told to a person I hated them.  But it took awhile to understand the depth of that. Until I understood this, When I lie, im sending this person to hell. This is doing nothing to increase there faith. Then I understood im facing a lot of opposition for this. then I understood sometimes it is painful to speak the truth, but more painful to lie, when you do know the truth. Then I read what jesus says in john, what is the greatest love in this world? to lay down your life for the truth. Then I understood jesus didn't lay down the law. He is the law. Then I understood, the jews killed him then, but our self-rightousness, crucified god. We crucified the law of love.  So consider these things when the question arises, How god can send someone to hell! And those who don't think people are evil.  Then I started to see what self-rightousness meant and realized the beginning of it is having no forgiveness and mercy and If I don't forgive I have determined what is forgiveable, which is pride, then I realized this is the beginning of what it means to judge, to put ourselves in the seat of god and determine what's forgiveable or not. Then I thought everything would be rosie, im saved alot of other people are to. then after months I seen it's just the opposite, not many are.  I ask alot of people who say there christians. I say do you always forgive, This is the typical response, Sometimes, they have not even been to the cross yet. because someone told them a lie. they don't even know what freedom means. what a miserable way to go, to think something but know nothing!
