(part 3)

Then we have this about LOVE and fear:

1 John 4:

1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2Hereby know you the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

4You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

5They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hears them.

6We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.

8He that loves not knows not God; for God is love.

9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. (Jesus)

10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12No man has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and His love is perfected in us.

13Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

14And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him, and he in God.

16And we have known and believed the love that God has to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.

17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.

18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.

19We love him, because he first loved us.

As can be seen, GOD IS LOVE, and PERFECT (which GOD is) LOVE casts out fear: i.e.: depression, worry, anxiety, anxiousness, or the politically correct wording-concern, or concerned
See the AMPLIFIED BIBLE  I Peter 5: 6-8 for instruction about worry etc.:

6Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,

7Casting the [a]whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you [c]watchfully.(A)

8Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [[d]in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

(part 2)

The  two passages listed in part 1, explain the first steps that we (as Believers) are to get an unsaved person to. Then the person must be encouraged, as you state, to begin to get into the Word of God so that growth in this new life can begin and take place.

Now some things to realize after a person becomes a Believer, Child of God, Born-Again Christian.  NOTE: these are just some things, not all.

Can we agree that depression, worry, anxiety, anxiousness, or the politically correct term used for worry CONCERN or CONCERNED arises out of fear.

For depression, we can do as the Word instructs, and forgetting those things that are behind (why? Because we have been forgiven of our sins when we were Born-Again), and press toward the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus. And then we can find out that Jesus said that He gave us of His joy, that our joy would be full.

Then there is the Scripture from the book of Romans that says that the God of Hope (which means: joyful; confident; expectation) fill you with all  joy and peace in believing, that you may abound (overflow) in hope (joyful; confident; expectation), through the power of the Holy Ghost. (ROMANS 15: 13)

If you are: believing, would not this mean that a person is walking, and living by faith, since faith is: what is believed, what you are persuaded of, what you are believing.

We just need to come to a knowledge, and understanding that if God (our Heavenly Father, who is the God of Hope) will fill us with all joy and peace, where is there any place for depression or worry?

(part 1)

The first step as stated before is to get Born-Again. This will take various avenues, as explained in another post. We must be led by the Holy Spirit within us to give us the appropriate words to speak, so that the person or people that we are communicating the Goodness of God to, will want to become a partaker of the plan of salvation that  God has provided, and the way that is written in His Word that we come to Him.

Jesus is the door. No one comes to God, without going through Jesus and what He (Jesus) did.

1 Corinthians 15

 1Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein ye stand;

2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.

 3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Romans 10

 8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Frozenchosen, I couldn't help but notice in your response you were talking to me, I wanted to focus on what saves and then after that we are clearly responsible to walk with god as both a friend and a son or daughter, which means of course to sum it up it's time for us to get busy, As a friendship is not one-sided, but of course the stumbling block is, people do not know what's good for them, I have come to understand no matter what happens in life, god does it to keep me on the path. What is good for me now, I could have not handled a year ago. back on subject, Here is also what I have found, we can agree the knowledge you obtain wether your believer or unbeliever, will come out. Alot of people who call themselves believers have some knowledge, but never open there mouth. I can see this leading to depression to. which jesus calls a worthless servant.  Of course the other spectrum of this is people that do have some knowledge, speak to presumptously. Which hurts the cause of those needing to be saved.  Wordworker and I don't like to pile on, but you get on a rant, Ive been posting for quite awhile now and you never have scripture to back it up.   If people need rebuke, come with scripture or don't come at all. If you can just show me one scripture, where there is just a little hint of the depressed having salvation. then this would be doing a good work!

unbelievers in Jesus christ, please understand all who believe in chist were the simple (easily persuaded) before they were saved.  Simple, scorner and the fool, which are you? do not be the fool who are wise in their own eyes. their pride has lifted them up to be the lawgiver, anyone who speaks for god without knowledge, this is you. are you not presumptious, assuming, condescending and love to lord things over peoples heads. Are you the scorner, who mocks gods children, the scorner says to the believer who do you think you are, you think you know it all. but the scorner lives by their own law, which they have made up in their heads, you are a witness against yourself. you laugh at gods children, what are you laughing at gods children are free. you need to cry. not for your own self-pity cause you can't live up to your own law. cry for your wicked, wretched, sinful life. the way of your transgressing self is hard and you fool no one who knows the truth. So become simple to become wise. pray to the father to become simple so you can be persuaded and saved. As all who truly believe have done this. Now is your day. My day came I shook my head at the person who exposed me, to so me truths, But I looked at myself, deep down I knew what he was saying was probably true. Do not be ashamed of christ, become ashamed of satan. Do not trust anyone who teaches about christ until you learn the bible yourself, eternity is infinite, so why would you take someone else's word for it. Death will escape none of us, the janitor, manufacturer, lawyer and doctor. Eternity is forever. The question is???? Where will you spend it?

obviously frozen you can see in my answers, you cant believe something you have no knowledge of, if you have no knowledge or any absolutes obviously you dont believe in anything, except whatevers convenient for the occasion, once again to all who say all religion is good religion or whatever a person believes is true for that person, Who do you think you are? making your own rules suitable for you whenever you want? you call the christian self rightouess, but you who believe is this have exalted yourself above god and you know better! the christian has looked at their life compared to scripture and realized they were evil! but you have made your own laws and have said to god, my way is better than yours...

It was never stated that you had to repent without believing first. A person has to get to a point of "knowing that they are a sinner, but, there is a way to become a child of God, and then they have to know and believe that there is a way to repent of your sin, and be born again.

( here is a question: is it possible to believe something that you have absolutely no knowledge of? )

What is there to dispute about the Word of God? Here is Romans 10: 10 - 13 from the AMPLIFIED BIBLE:

10For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

11The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.(B)

12[No one] for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. The same Lord is Lord over all [of us] and He generously bestows His riches upon all who call upon Him [in faith].

13For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved.(C)

As can be seen, ( and it follows the instruction Jesus gave in Mark 11: 24 "and when you stand praying, BELIEVE that you RECEIVE...)

You cannot receive something that you don't first believe in. That is one of the reasons that the Apostle Paul stated "so then faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

What makes you think that there was dispute about putting believing first? That is exactly what the Word of God teaches us to do. It teaches us that we are not to be like Thomas, who stated that he would not believe until he saw.

To be saved, it will not be something that we see on the outer physical body, but, a knowing within our innerman that a change has taken place. That is when we are to begin to have a desire for the milk of the Word, so that we can grow thereby.

So, again, where is the dispute?

Here is the problem with the sinners prayer, for one the wording has been changed from KJV, they leave em hangin alright i said that now what, no pick up your bible and read and abide in the word, I never hear that, now that I prayed that dont I need to grow up now, PICK UP THE BIBLE AND READ AND STUDY. or are they so worried about church attendance. Ive seen this pastor show where alot of them conclude that if your church isn't growing, somethings wrong, boy, how they are decieved, not the bible ive read, not the hard truth i swallowed, certainly not thre message thats sweet in your mouth and bitter in your stomach, since I used to be heavy drug user to, this message is about one the same, feeling good, the last 3 times i went to my church, in which there is 4 services, approx 1000 people each one, 25 mins of hillsong 20-25 mins of jokes 4 times mention of tithing and community talk and at the end pastor says, oh wait before you get up I need to say this, the sinners prayer, see you at the front door. no alls you can do is shake your head, this message didn't save me, this message would have killed me! it would have gone completely over my head, if you can even call it a message

I look up website after site and all I see people calling people false teachers, false teachers calling other people false teachers, who can make sense of this madness, surely not someone who does not know the word of god. john 3:16-21 makes it oh so clear, there is no repentance before salvation, believe, meaning put your faith in christ, what will happen next, verses 17-21.now first what does believe mean jesus says abide in my word, so reading the word is alot of it in which how faith grows stronger, first thing that happens your thinking changes, you hate what god hates, you love what god loves, here is an example, i hate sin, i may sin again, but the way I think is not sin, if I do sin  holy spirit quickly makes me aware then I repent, verse 17-21 comes next, this would be in short, your testimony, after you truly believe, your sin becomes aparrent, when you abide in the word, which now makes jesus lord of your life! here is the truth, you can't even understand the depth of your evilness until you believe first, how can you repent first, you don't even know what sin is! Jesus says you cant even understand god, until you are born from above! so if you cant understand god you obviously can't understand how much he hates sin! FROZENCHOSEN do not even try to dispute this, you should have an impossible time tryin. believe will always come before repentance, everything comes after faith aka believing, then repentance, then works. I was saved from sinning literally 100's times a day, i didnt stop sinning overnight, it is clear your saved in a few seconds, but jesus being lord takes your whole life. sins are not purged overnight, but it should not take years for you to become aware of your sin, my sins were so piled high to the sky, it would have been overwhelming to stop it all on a dime, the bible, every person sinned except jesus, the difference is they quickly repented because there thinking was right and had a passionate heart for god! if you repent before you believe what have you done, a work, which is self rightousness, which is very evil in the sight of god, while it pleased him to crush jesus, your saying no god, ill do it this way. your way in which you explained over and over in the new test does not seem sufficient for me, this is what you say to god without realizing it! the holy spirit is truly a purging out process in which everything becomes stronger, conviction, faith, all why your heart and thinking is being changed. just in that exact order to HEART, SOUL, MIND!
